Differential diagnosis of selected vertical eye movement disorders

German and English literature make use of different criteria in the diagnosis and subdivision of vertical kinds of strabismus caused by oblique muscle malfunction. As a result of these two different approaches, there are also partially diverging treatment suggestions. An attempt can be made to analyze and compare the two ways of classification and underlying pathology by means of a computerbased eye model.
