QualifAAI: Training Professionals to Use Agentic AI

As part of the FFG qualification project QualifAAI, RISC Software GmbH trains professionals from Upper Austrian companies in the secure, legally compliant, and economically sound use of AI agents.

QualifAAI Kick-Off Meeting

(C) RISC Software GmbH

From Language Models to Agent-Based Systems

AI agents go beyond traditional language model applications: They independently break tasks down into sub-steps, access tools and data sources, and prepare decisions. This opens up new opportunities for companies to automate knowledge-intensive processes. At the same time, questions arise regarding data security, traceability, and the legal framework. QualifAAI addresses these issues by building the knowledge required for the responsible use of Agentic AI within participating companies and supporting them in the implementation of transfer projects.

Structure of the Training Program

The program runs for six months and combines training with practical application. At the outset, the project team assesses the knowledge level of the 44 participants and identifies the specific needs of the 13 companies. Building on this, experts from RISC Software GmbH will teach the fundamentals of large language models, agentic coding, data security, and governance. In the advanced phase, the program will be divided into two tracks: one for domain experts without a programming background and one for software developers.

Practical Projects in Companies

Each participating company implements at least one of its own transfer projects upon completion of the program. The planned applications range from AI-supported production planning to internal knowledge agents and automated quote generation. In this way, participants apply what they have learned directly to processes within their own companies.

The consortium

RISC Software GmbH leads the consortium. The project is supported by the Building Innovation Cluster (BIC) of Business Upper Austria, which contributes expertise from the construction, building services, timber construction, and industrial sectors. Burgstaller & Partner Attorneys at Law is advising the project on legal matters, while Rise2Reality is assisting with implementation.
