The focus is on the strategies of traffic avoidance, modal shift and traffic improvement. Specifically, the aim is to test which combinations of information can be used to transport data across all modes of transport in order to achieve positive effects for users.  <\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Initial situation and motivation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Austria already has a broad base of traffic information. This is provided via radio, roadside displays, apps and the multimodal route planner VAO (Verkehrsauskunft \u00d6sterreich). With coordinated information that bundles the know-how of the operators of transport routes and means of transport, the MUST project is creating the basis for intermodal traffic management.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In recent years, different modes of transport have been increasingly combined with each other. Services such as \u00d6BB Scotty, AnachB, Smartride, Wegfinder or Wien Mobil already offer information on private transport, public transport, cycle paths and footpaths. Park &amp; Ride concepts or sharing options such as rental bikes or scooters are also integrated.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Initial situation and motivation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Austria already has a broad base of traffic information. Park &amp; Ride concepts or sharing options such as rental bikes or scooters are also integrated.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Test corridors and pilot phases<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The effectiveness of the information channels developed is checked using test corridors. These are located in the <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Flachgau<\/strong> (A1, B1, Westbahn),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pongau<\/strong> (A10, B159, Giselabahn),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>M\u00fchlviertel<\/strong> (A7, S10, B3, B125, B127, M\u00fchlkreisbahn) and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Industrial district<\/strong> (A2\/A23, B17, Badner Bahn, S\u00fcdbahn).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The results from these pilot projects flow directly into evaluations and optimizations. This creates a sound basis for the further development of existing channels and services. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The role of RISC Software GmbH<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>RISC Software GmbH is responsible for analyzing the impact of the entire information chain in the Upper Austrian pilot project. To this end, access figures to public transport information services are collected and compared with real user behavior &#8211; for example from ASFINAG counting stations or data from the Domino ride-sharing app. In addition, weather data is incorporated in order to better evaluate influences on behavior.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A specially adapted data model ensures effective data preparation and enables analysis even with rapidly growing data volumes. The actual state of mobility behavior in the available time period is then examined, including long-term trends and short-term fluctuations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RISC uses methods such as correlation analyses, hypothesis tests, causality studies and change point detection to measure impact. The effects are visualized and validated together with experts in iterative feedback loops. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Results of the partner from other projects:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>EVIS \/ ITS Upper Austria: In the ITS Upper Austria project, a traffic situation system was set up for the Upper Austria region, which uses information from floating car data, permanent counting stations, Bluetooth and a traffic simulation to generate detailed travel times, short-term and long-term forecasts. This information comes together in the data collection and distribution system of the national EVIS project, which is responsible for the harmonization and qualitative improvement of the traffic situation images of the participating road operators in Austria. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>LisiGoesDigital (FFG No. 862020): In LisiGo, an app was implemented which, based on EVIS, provides a traffic information system for commuters within the city of Linz. For their own daily commuter route, all relevant information is extracted from various information channels, such as multimodal route information including carpooling offers from Domino, text-based travel information from Life Radio including podcasts, traffic information from EVIS and traffic cameras from Asfinag, in order to provide users with a clear overview of current traffic conditions.   <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>O\u00d6 SmartDriveBase 2 (GVOEV-2021-431155\/2-ERM) is a service project with the state of Upper Austria, in which information from Domino (public transport offers, ride-sharing) can be integrated into existing apps and websites with the help of an info channel plugin. The plugins have already been integrated into the Upper Austrian transport information app LisiGo, the website of O\u00d6 Nachrichten and the Upper Austrian government. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>RISC prepares weather data and forecasts for the company MOWIS in order to fill various information channels. Many high-reach information channels are located in the direct sphere of activity of this consortium &#8211; thus ensuring efficient and targeted handling of the project content and an effective pilot
